Mountainside Medical Center names Neil Assad as the Care Award recipient for January. Mountainside Medical Center’s Care award is a monthly award that focuses on recognizing team members whose behaviors and attitudes best exemplify our five beliefs outlining who we are: Creative, courageous, connected, compassionate and collaborative.
Neil Assad is the Lead Pharmacy Technician at Mountainside. Neil’s team often refers to him as a superhero of sorts as he stays connected to his purpose by diligently working to make sure the hospital is ahead of experiencing various supply chain issues as a result of the pandemic. Recently, Neil was able to get quickly get a niche medication for a patient that is very infrequently used.
Neil is a member of the hospital’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. He is actively engaged in team member education and training activities, and celebrating the many cultures that make up the hospital’s diverse work-force.
“We are so fortunate to have Neil”, said Mona Nashed, Clinical Pharmacy Director. “Most people don’t realize how much he does behind the scenes to ensure that lifesaving medications are available for our patients.”
